Yuvajanotsava! Marathon to create awareness on HIV on September 11

Mandya: As part of Yuvajanotsava, marathon run has been organised in the district on September 11 to create awareness against the spread of HIV, said District AIDS Control Officer Dr M N Ashalatha.
Speaking at the meeting at Zilla Panchayat on the Intensified Campaign-2024 to check the spread of HIV on Tuesday, Dr Ashalatha said, about 250 college students in the age group of 17 to 25 years, will take part in the marathon from Sir M Visvesvaraya Stadium in the city. The marathon will cover five km route, creating awareness among the people.
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr K Mohan, Assistant Director of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Om Prakash, Superintendent of Medical Education Dr Shivakumar, Deputy Director of PU Education C Cheluvaiah, and other officers were present in the meeting.
