‘Ananta Abhinandane’ to mark 75th birthday of actor Anant Nag in Mangaluru tomorrow

Mysuru: The Kudla Samskrutika Prathishtana in Mangaluru has organised a special event to mark the 75th birthday of versatile actor Anant Nag ‘Ananta Abhinandane’ at T V Ramana Pai auditorium, Kodialbail on September 3.
In a release, Prathishtana honorary president and MLA Vedavyas Kamath said it was Prathishtana’s privilege to honour Anant Nag, who is inspiring generations with his remarkable movies spanning five decades. Being an ardent fan of Anant Nag and his movies, Kamath said he was humbled by the opportunity to celebrate the Star’s birthday. “With his versatile and natural acting, Anant Nag is one of the finest actors that the country has seen. Many of his movies had a lasting impact on the society as a whole. This is really special to celebrate his birthday through the Kudla Prathishtana,” MLA Kamath said.
On September 3, Anant Nag and his wife Gayatri will be brought in a grand procession from Dongerkeri Canara High School premises to the programme venue. After the inauguration, there will be an interaction with cinema, television actors, journalists and students. In the afternoon, there will be a music programme on popular songs of Anant Nag films and a felicitation programme is also planned. Popular actor Rishab Shetty will take part in the programme, MLA Kamath added.
