Need permanent solution to check sea erosion: CM

Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inspected several places damaged due to heavy rain in the coastal district of Udupi on Tuesday.
He visited Padubidri beach area and took stock of the situation. A permanent solution was the need of the hour to check sea erosion and measures will be taken to protect the coastal area, he told reporters. The damage incurred due to rain is estimated at Rs 35 cr and departments will be asked to release funds to take up repair works soon, he added.
