Four die, driver survives as car plunges into VC Canal

Srirangapatna: Four women met their tragic end when their car accidentally fell into Visvesvaraya Canal popular as VC canal near Gamanahalli of Srirangapatna taluk in Mandya district on Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 8-30 pm, as the driver of the car lost control of the steering ending up in the accident. Fortunately, the driver identified as Manoj survived.
The deceased are identified as Mahadevamma, Sanjana, Mahadevi and Rekha, all from Goravanahalli in T Narsipur taluk in Mysuru district.
Arakere police have registerd a case in connection with the incident.
