Mysuru: Former minister B Sriramulu took potshots at the Congress government saying there is no law and order in the CM’s home district and how can one expect it to be in order in other parts of the State.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, BJP leader Sriramulu observed that every time the Congress comes to power in the State, there is no protection for pro-Hindu activists. “There is no protection for Hindu activists, seers and senior citizens,” he accused referring to the murder of a Yuva Brigade activist in T Narasipur and a Jain monk in Belagavi.

He alleged that Yuva Brigade activist Venugopal Nayak’s murder is a pre-planned crime by those who have Jihadi mindset. Yet, the Congress government is not serious about it, leave alone responding to Nayak’s family. There is no law and order in CM’s home district and one could imagine the situation in other districts of the State, he blamed.

He suspected that if the State government does not act swiftly, Hindu activists would continue to suffer such attacks.

He also reiterated the party’s stand that Nayak’s murder be handed over to CBI as police could be under severe pressure from disclosing the truth. Only CBI inquiry could bring out the truth, he suggested.
