Gujarat handicrafts expo at JSS Urban Haat

Mysuru: Gujarat Handicrafts Utsav, handicrafts fair will be held at JSS Urban Haat from May 19 to May 28. This is for the ninth time that Gujarat is showcasing its handicrafts in Mysuru.
Highlight of the exhibition includes Kachchi Ghodi show, a puppet show, a live demonstration by artistes among others. These artisans will exhibit, demonstrate and trade their rich customary art and craft in the event, like Patola weaving. Shawl weaving, Kutchi-Embroidery, Arjakh Block Print, tie and dye (Bandhej), leather work, copper bell, Mud mirror work, Zari-zardosi work, Bead work, Agate articles, Chaniya choli, Aplique work, Nail painting, Wooden & Metal work.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr. Arundhaty Chandrashekar, Commissioner for Treasuries, Bengaluru on May 18 at 4 pm and SP Manjunath, Secretary-I, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru will preside. Shilpi Agarwal,IRAS., Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru will be the special guest.
The fair will be open from 10 am to 9 pm and entry is free.
