Karnataka elections: JDS is one family’s private limited party: PM Modi in Hassan

Hassan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi upped the ante of his campaign at Hassan district, considered as the forte of JDS, by terming JDS as one family’s private limited party.
Addressing a mega public rally at Belur in Hassan, PM Modi mocked that the JDS party is only focused on its family’s welfare. But the BJP respects everyone in the party as every worker in the party is like a family. He further said that it is the ‘B’ team of Congress and is always planning to seize the opportunity if it manages to edge over others. “The Congress does not respect the culture of Karnataka. The people should vote for BJP for a secure and stable government in Karnataka,” he added.
He criticized the Congress for siphoning off money in fertilisers. But the BJP is striving to protect the interests of farmers by implementing several schemes for fertiliser. “We have taken measures to distribute fertiliser at a subsidized price,” he said and added that to ensure sustained progress in Karnataka, people must vote for BJP. “Double engine governments ensure progress,” he added.
