23rd Veerashaiva- Lingayat meet from December 23 to 25 in Davangere

Davangere: The 23rd All India Veerashaiva- Lingayat Mahasabha convention will be held in Davangere from December 23 to 25.
This follows the decision taken in a preliminary meeting held here on Saturday.
The three-day convention will ponder over the much awaited reservation for the community by bringing under OBCs, the demand which is pending before the centre for long. Besides, the thrust will also be on creating awareness that Veerashaiva- Lingayat is same.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, seers of various mutts and prominent leaders will attend the meeting, that is expected to witness the congregation of not less than one lakh people.
