Comedian, mimicry artiste Raju Srivastav no more
1 min readNew Delhi: Popular Bollywood actor and mimicry artiste Raju Srivastav passed away on Wednesday. He was 58.
Srivastav had suffered heart attack on August 10 and was undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Hospital here.
The comedian took his last breath at 10.20 AM, after 41 days of hospitalisation.
Raju was feeling uneasy when he was moved to the hospital. He underwent an angioplasty same day and had been on ventilator support since then.
He was doing his routine exercise on the treadmill, when he suddenly collapsed. He had suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to the AIIMS hospital, Raju Srivastava’s cousin had told media then.
Srivastav who made a debut in Hindi films with Tezaab, had acted in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Baazigar, Abhay to name a few.
He was also known as a standup comedian as he was a part of Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
He is survived by his wife Shikha Srivastav, daughter Antara and son Ayushman.
