However, the confusion prevails, as according to the devotees, seer was going to meet an advocate and was not going to any undisclosed location.

Earlier in the day, Chitradurga rural police went to the Mutt in search of the seer. As the seer was not found in the Mutt, the police enquired the devotees there, where they learnt about seer going to an undisclosed location.

As a precaution, police who acted swiftly took the Swamiji into their custody. The seer is being brought to the Mutt amid heavy police security.

Meanwhile the district police have made elaborate security arrangements in and outside the mutt.

A platoon of district reserve police is deployed at the Mutt, as a large number of devotees are descending on the Mutt.

It may be mentioned that, the seer is accused of sexually harassing two minor girls. An officer attached to district child protection office in Mysuru had lodged a complaint at Nazarbad police station in this regard on Friday.

Acting on the complaint, police had booked a FIR under POCSO against the seer and four others.

The girls had been temporarily provided shelter at Odanadi Seva Samsthe in Mysuru, before bringing them to Chitradurga under tight police security on Sunday.
