Get ready to hear Puneeth’s original voice in ‘James’

Mysuru: For those who want to hear their favourite star Puneeth Rajkumar’s original voice again on screen, the wait is just going to end.
The makers of James the latest and last release of Puneeth that hit screens on his 47th birth anniversary on March 17 have restored the voice of the late actor incorporating technology.

Pappu a Hyderabad based technician and his team have succeeded in making it possible after three months of relentless efforts.
The credit also goes to multingual actor Karnataka born Srikanth who has shared screen space with Puneeth in James, who introduced Pappu to producer Kishore Pathikondu.
The original voice of Puneeth gleaned from TV interviews, reality show Kannadada Kotyadhipati- which the actor himself hosted, voice recording at the shooting spot of James were all vetted into before making it possible.
The film with Puneeth’s voice will be re-released on April 22 ahead of the birth anniversary of thespian actor Dr Rajkumar.
Puneeth’s older brother and actor Shivarajkumar who dubbed the voice for the former in James ( as Puneeth died on October 29 last year, with the dubbing pending for James) is also eagerly waiting to hear it.
Shivarajkumar said “It’s so surprising and I am also curious. Initially I was shocked and also happy. If there is any chance technology can be used to adapt Puneeth’s voice in full length in the movie”.
The film’s director Chetan Kumar said “The film with original Appu voice will be released in another 60 to 70 screens across the State in addition to 67 screens, where the film is being exhibited across the State”.
