MUDA officials reclaim MIG house illegally occupied at Ramakrishna Nagar ‘I’ block

Mysuru: In a continued drive against the encroachment of assets of Mysuru Urban Development Authority ( MUDA), officials have reclaimed a house worth Rs 75 lakh in the city.

In an early morning operation on Friday, MUDA officials vacated a MIG house- 47/ B, illegally occupied by a family at Ramakrisna Nagar ‘I’ block in the city. One Kumar Kranti was staying in the house for the past 15 years. Since October 16, he was paying a rent of Rs 8000 to one Raghu.

They were vacated before reclaiming the property, with Saraswatipuram police providing adequate security.

MUDA Commissioner Dr D B Natesh who supervised the drive directed the officers to look into the possibilities of similar cases if any.

After vacating the house, a banner was erected warning the trespassers against claiming MUDA property. 

MUDA Superintendent Engineer Shankar, Executive Engineers Mohan and Satyanarayan Joshi, zonal officers Nagesh, K R Mahesh, Ravindra Kumar, Kiran, Shivanna and Ravishankar were present.
