Venkatesh receives charge as Mandya DC

Mandya: IAS officer Dr M B Venkatesh on Wednesday received charge as the deputy commissioner of Mandya.
N Manjushree handed over the charge to her successor Venkatesh by greeting him with a bouquet in a customary manner.
Soon after receiving the charge, Venkatesh spelled out his plans for the development of Mandya, especially for farmers welfare.
Taking into consideration the plight of agrarian community with the farmers taking extreme step of ending their lives by committing suicide, the deputy commissioner said “I want to understand their problems and find solutions to boost their confidence level”.
The basic infrastructural facilities related to farmers by providing drinking water facility and fodder for the livestock will be taken up on priority.
The district administration will work along with the police to provide safety and security to the public, women and children towards ensuring law and order in the district.
