Mayor meets CM BSY for full time MCC Commissioner

Mysuru: A delegation of Mysuru City Corporation ( MCC) corporators led by Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in Bengaluru recently, to demand appointment of a full time commissioner to the city corporation.
In the present set up MUDA Commissioner P S Kantharaj holds the additional charge as MCC commissioner.
Mayor told media persons on Tuesday “We met the chief minister in Bengaluru on Monday to demand for a full time administrative head. We also wanted to raise the issues related to forthcoming Nada Habba Dasara festival, but it did not happen. We will present our points during the high power committee meeting called by the chief minister on August 9′.
The MCC is planning to demand a separate gallery for corporators during the various events organised during Dasara.
‘MCC ensures cleanliness and hygiene during Dasara but the corporators are ignored by not giving them adequate passes. All these issues will be raised during the meeting in Bengaluru’, Mayor said.
Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed and Ruling party leader H N Shanthakumari had accompanied mayor to Bengaluru.
