Mysuru: On Global Tiger day, Nagarahole National Tiger Reserve got a new identity. Nagarahole Tiger Reserve came into inception in 2007.

A logo that aptly depicts the wild that portrays a bond between wildlife and tribals was launched on the occasion.
Nagarahole National Tiger Reserve had organised Global Tiger Day celebration at its iconic point at Kakanakote in Antarasanthe division, on Thursday.
The logo forms faces of tiger and elephant, with river, Tribal art and greenery in the backdrop.
Ashwini of Bengaluru Co & Co Branding and Communication who designed the logo described it as a joyful moment when Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Director D Mahesh Kumar asked to design a logo.”
“We started exploring name and its bondages with flora and fauna. Tiger and elephant are like two faces of a same coin. So we included both. As the name Nagarahole is derived from river, which flows like a snake we included the depiction of water body. Most importantly we incorporated tribal art as they are also a part of the forest and lead a life in wild. Forest doesn’t mean a closed place, as it is always open naturally. So green covers the logo,” Ashwini added.
APCCF Vijay Mohan Raj and Nagarahole National Tiger Reserve Director and DCF D Mahesh Kumar along with forest department staff unfolded the logo. ACFs K P Mahadev, A V Satish and K P Gopal, RFOs S S Siddaraju, Santosh Hugar, Madhu, Namana Nayak, Girish, Hanumantha Raju and Kiran were present.
