Excess compensation to seven in Kergalli: MUDA to do inquiry, says Chairman H V Rajiv

Mysuru: Following the allegations of previous DC Rohini Sindhuri over granting excess compensation to the land losers in Kergalli, MUDA chairman H V Rajiv on Thursday asserted that “we have proper documents and it was due to the previous governments mistake, excess compensation was given.”
On Thursday Rajiv addressed media at Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
Rajiv explained that “The first acquisition for land acquisition at Survey number 115 Kergalli was issued in 1997 and final call was in 2001. In the case of few RTCs mentioned, land was not physically measured. Around seven got excess compensation for seven acres land. We will start inquiry to initite action in this regard.”
Rajiv also showed a map of the controversial RT Nagar layout. We had prepared it after two months of detailed study, he added.
MUDA has prepared the map of RT Nagar only, as it was riddled in dispute. While sketches are available for other layouts.
Highest fee was paid to lawyer hired over Kurubarahalli dispute.
MUDA Commissioner D B Natesh claimed that “As the deputy commissioner told to pay Rs 24 lakh to advocate Harish Salve, we obliged. The previous DC communicated with the advocate.”
