According to Ajay Kamath, State Secretary, AIDSO, “AIDSO Karnataka demands that, on the lines of CBSE examinations, State Government should cancel Second PU and SSLC Exams.”

Uncertainty about the exams will only create anxiety on young minds. Pandemic has now reached villages and creating Havoc in rural areas. Even if government decided to conduct the examination, it can be done only after ensure few days of offline classes. But, with the threat of third wave of pandemic looming large, conduction of offline classes and examinations both will cause great trouble to Students.

Hence government should cancel exams and device a scientific evaluation process consulting experts and senior faculty for smooth functioning of education process of students.

CBSE students, who won’t be writing any exams, will now have better advantage in admission for PUC and Higher Education courses. This will creat hurdle for state syllabus students if exams are conducted waiting for the effects of pandemic to subside and even in CET admission, state students will suffer.

Keeping all these crucial factors in mind, and taking into consideration opinion of majority of parents, teachers and students who want exams to be cancelled, AIDSO demands State government to cancel Second
