Mysuru: Recently Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) van driver Ravi died of black fungus.
Complying with the procedure, a compensation cheque for Rs five lakh was handed over to the next of kin. Those working on contract basis are entitled for a relief of Rs five lakh.
When Mayor Rukmini Madegowda led team of officials including Deputy Mayor Aftab Anwar Baig and MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag was handing over cheques after calling on the dependents of such Corona Warriors, at the doorsteps of their house, Ravi’s mother shed tears in grief.
This was how Shilpa Nag consoled her. It was indeed a touching moment, as the photo went viral with accolades pouring in for the officer.
