Congress to start Covid Control Room in Mysuru from May 1: Dhruvanarayan

Mysuru: As the surge of Covid second wave continues unabated, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee has renewed its ‘Arogya Hastha’ initiative at district offices in the state.
KPCC Working President R Dhruvanarayan told media persons on Friday, “Congress as a political party has decided to do its bit to help the people in the crises. Hence, it is decided to set up Covid control room at its district offices, keep active the KPCC doctors cell where 320 doctors have voluntarily registered their names, besides providing online medical consultation.

AICC chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tried to awaken the central government, but the government ignored them. Similarly in the state, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is facing a lack of coordination and administration lapses that has caused mismanagement in handling Covid related works, he alleged.
We want the government to immediately release Rs 500 crore backlog wages to NREGA beneficiaries and extend the man days from100 days to 150 days and increase daily the wages to Rs 350 from Rs 289, Dhruvanarayan demanded.
Mysuru district administration and district minister must call a meeting with NGOs and industries to provide better facilities, he said.
District Congress rural committee president Dr B J Vijaykumar, city president R Murthy, former Mylac Chairman H A Venkatesh and former Corporator Shivanna were present.
