GSSSIETW gets 4-Star Golden Rating for its innovative steps

Mysuru: GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru has been awarded 4-star rating for 2019-2020 released by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

IIC is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and was established in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE). It aims to promote and advance innovative practices among higher educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has established the ‘MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The 4 golden stars rating has been awarded to GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women for undertaking various initiatives and activities prescribed by the Innovation Cell.

Since its inception, the Institution is carrying out various activities aimed at promoting innovation, start-ups, and entrepreneurship by involving both the faculty and the students.

GSSSIETW had to effectively follow the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell prescribed calendar of activities. In addition, we were also required to take part in a series of MIC driven initiatives, which revolved around the promotion and development of entrepreneurship.

The final factor which was to be satisfied for this rating was in regard to the institutions’ self-driven initiatives, where GSSSIETW had an edge over ensuring the active engagement of its students and faculties in innovation centered initiatives.

Pandit, Administrative Officer, GSSSIETW congratulated the efforts of the principal, faculty members and staff of GSSSIETW for their efforts towards achieving the 4 star rating by the Ministry of Education-Innovation Cell (MIC), Mahanthesh U, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW Mysuru.
