Mysuru: Environmentalist Bhanumohan, President of Parisara Samrakshana Samiti has stated that “the government should not be allowing public on the Palace premises on the day of Vijayadashami”.
The festivities should be conducted by the royal family and no one other than them should be the audience of it. With the rising cases of Novel Coronavirus and no sign of a vaccine, the government should not be risking by allowing the public to take part in the festival.
The cases are already increasing and this may push situation into worse further. The government will be held responsible if things go out of hand. Free medical check ups and food facilities will have to be provided by the government.
There is no necessity for a double decker bus for sight seeing especially by cutting down trees on the route of the bus. It’s not only a damage to the environment but also likely for passengers to be taking such a risk.
In addition, Bhanumohan has also warned that she will be filing a case against the authorities and hold them responsible for this irresponsible act.
