70 hens found dead at poultry farm

Mandya: Over 70 hens were found dead in and around a poultry farm at Madarahalli near K M Doddi in Maddur taluk in the district on Tuesday. It is suspected to have died due to poisoning the feed.
The poultry farm is owned by a Gram Panchayat member Umesh. He had gone to a family function at a nearby village. When he came back, he found the hens lying on the ground. Some were found in nearby fields.
The miscreants are suspected to have poisoned the feed.
They were just two months old and were being reared since then.
