50 kg Sandalwood logs seized; one arrested in Muneshwara Nagar

Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) police busted a Sandalwood smuggling racket and arrested a person in this regard from Muneshwara Nagar in the city.
Wooden logs weighing 50 kg were seized from the house of the arrested person.
Acting on a definite Information, CCB police raided the house in Muneshwara Nagar in Udaygiri police station limits and found that the logs were stocked illegally.
It has been learnt that the accused was buying logs from the thieves and was selling it to others. The investigation is on to trace out those who were bringing the logs to him and to whom was he selling.
In the year 2021 too, CCB police had busted a Sandalwood smuggling racket.
The police team was led by CCB Inspector A Mallesh that included police personnel Joseph Noronha, Janardhan Rao and Srinivas Prasad.
