47 pharma factory employees from Chamarajanagar quarantined: DC

Chamarajanagar: As many as 47 people from the district who are the employees of the pharmaceutical factory in Nanjangud in Mysuru district have been kept under quarantine.
A person from Mysuru who has already tested positive for the virus is the employee of the same factory.
Deputy Commissioner Dr M R Ravi told media persons, ” the factory workers have been kept under quarantine at Dr B R Ambedkar Bhavan in the city. They are kept separately and are under observation. Blood sample and throat swab sample of only one person among them are collected and sent for test at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute ( MMC and RI). The report is awaited”.
That apart, 43 people have returned from foreign countries. Of them, 35 people have completed home quarantine period of 14 days. Six people are under quarantine at Ambedkar Bhavan and two at their home. The report on blood and throat swab samples of one among them was received and is negative. The particular person has been shifted to general ward and is under treatment, deputy commissioner said.
