3 leopard cubs found at sugarcane field in T Narasipur

Mysuru: Even as the frequent sightings of leopard has created a havoc at T Narasipur taluk in the district, three leopard cubs are found in the taluk on Friday.
Forest department has decided to keep the leopard cubs in a cage to trap its mother. The litter were found in a sugarcane field after harvest at B Seehalli village in the taluk.
Of late, there has been a frequent movements of the big cat in the taluk, triggering fears among the villagers.
Two youngsters including a boy and girl student in their early 20’s were killed in leopard attack in T Narasipur taluk recently. Since then, various measures have been taken in the interest of farmers especially who were feared to go to their fields in the night hours especially to feed water to crops from their IP sets.
Cesc authorities changed the timings of power supply to IP sets from night to morning hours. While the Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra instructed the farmers to harvest sugarcane crops to avoid leopards from setting up their habitats in those fields.
