24,000 cases booked against mask violators in Mysuru: SP Rhyshyanth

Mysuru: The district police have arrested 21 people on the charges of violating the total shut down restrictions across the district.

The State Government has announced shut down from April 27, 9 pm to May 12, 6 am.

SP C B Ryshyanth said “the situation in Mysuru district is under control, as we have been strictly enforcing the regulations and no violations are excused. In all 42 cases are booked and also the organisers of two marriages in Hunsur and KR Nagar are booked under disaster management Act.
Besides, 24,000 cases related to violation of wearing face masks are also booked,” SP added.

The Police are also facing a tough challenge, as they are working round the clock to enforce 14 days regulations and safe themselves from Covid pandemic. However, 23 personnel have tested Covid-19 positive, but still the fellow policemen are duty bound to rein in any violations in the district.
