24 new ministers likely to take oath tomorrow

Bengaluru: In all likelihood, 24 new ministers are expected to take oath on May 27 at 11.45 am. Although, there is no official confirmation on this, many reports claimed that the list of new ministers is ready and it only needs the approval of the high command. Both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar are in Delhi to get the portfolios to their camp members.

While it was relatively easy for the party high command to convince D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaih for the chief minister’s post, finalising the Siddaramaiah cabinet has turned out to be a major headache for the party high command. Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar are said to be adamant about their choice of legislators and portfolios.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar is not keen to have senior leaders including R V Deshpande and others. Instead, he is insisting on having his supporters Madhu Bangarappa and B K Hariprasad to the cabinet. But this is being opposed by Siddarmaiah as they both belonged to the same community.
Party sources claimed that both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar are expected to stay back in Delhi today too to finalise the list of probable ministers.
