24 deaths in Chamarajanagar: DC explains ‘accurate’ reasons

Chamarajanagar: Deputy Commissioner M R Ravi on Monday appealed media not to portray the Covid deaths due to lack of Oxygen.
Ravi who explained to media about 24 deaths caused in a short span, said “while 23 deaths occurred at District Covid hospital, one death was in Holy Cross hospital, Kamagere. Up to midnight, 14 deaths were reported, three deaths till 3 AM and seven deaths up to Monday morning 7 AM.”
Out of 24 patients who died, 18 were in critical condition even before reaching the hospital. While 23 patients were on ventilator support, 70 oxygen cylinders supplied from 10.30 PM to 00.30 hours and 60 cylinders reached Chamarajanagar in the morning. However, it is showcased as death caused due to lack of oxygen, Ravi claimed.
