2,138 graduates to receive various degrees in 12th convocation of JSSAHER, Mysuru

Mysuru: The 12th Convocation of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSSAHER) is scheduled on Friday at 4 PM at Suttur mutt, at the foothills of Chamundi.
JSSAHER Vice Chancellor Dr Surinder Singh said “The convocation will be held under the gracious presence of Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the Chancellor of the JSS AHER. Padma Vibhushan, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikarigalu, Srikshetra Dharmasthala, has consented to be the Chief Guest and will deliver the Convocation address and give away gold medals and prizes.”
Board of Management members and other dignitaries and distinguished guests from academia, administration and industry throughout the country besides the student and parents/guardians are participating in the convocation ceremony virtually.
Asserting that JSSAHER is achieving milestone in Medical Education on global map, Surinder Singh joined by various department heads explained about its growth in 360 degree.
JSS AHER has taken its Journey towards building Global presence through collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) to a newer arena by supporting and capacity building in the Pharma and Medical Device Sector in India to begin with and later in the WHO South East Asia Region (SEAR) countries.
In all 1,115 personnel from 323 industries have been trained through six workshops in Good Manufacturing Practices as per WHO-CGMP standards for APIs, Formulations and Medical Devices.
JSS AHER has reached out to five WHO South East Asian member countries for hand holding and strengthening the access and availability of safe blood, blood components and plasma fractionation by engaging 31 experts from 12 countries from government, industry and academia sectors including the leaders of the global organizations that contribute to the field of plasma fractionation.
These efforts have opened opportunities for JSSAHER to collaborate with WHO in knowledge sharing on global platform, Dr Surinder Singh elaborated.
* 2138 graduates will be receiving their degrees and diplomas in various faculties.
* 47 candidates will be awarded Doctor of Philosophy Degree
* Seven candidates will be conferred with Doctorate in Medicine (DM) & Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) Degrees
* 61 Academic Toppers will be presented with 83 medals and awards with certificates for their exceptional academic performances.
Dr Surinder Singh also pointed out that “during the year 2020 and 2021 JSSAHER has invested Rs 12.31 crore for creating and upgrading various infrastructure facilities towards the development of new campus, and towards the academic and smart campus initiatives which is in line with UN sustainable development goal.”
Dr Kushalappa, Dr Pramodh Kumar, Dr Ravindra, Dr Ravish, Dr Gopinath, Dr Shivaraj, Dr Vanitha reddy, Dr Mamatha, Dr Srujan were present.
