Mysuru: The 17th International Yoga Event organised by Odanadi Seva Samsthe will be
held on March 29, with the theme “One Day One Voice for Human Equality.”
The event, a part of the globally recognised “Yoga Stops Traffick” campaign, aims to raise
awareness against human trafficking and sexual exploitation through the unifying power of yoga.

At a press conference held on Tuesday, at the Mysuru District Journalists’ Association (MDJA), M L Parashuram, K V Stanley, Pradeep and Dr B C Murthy, highlighted Odanadi’s relentless 35-year fight against human exploitation and how the campaign has expanded to over 40 countries and 100 cities.
Notably, this year’s event will
see three delegates participating from London, adding to its international representation.
The grand event will begin with a yoga session at 7 am in front of the iconic Mysore
Palace.
Dignitaries including DCP (Crime and Traffic) S Jahnavi, Odanadi Adventure Ashram’s Trustee Gary Stevens and Mysore Yoga Federation instructors Dr B C Murthy and Devaraju will be present.
Thousands of participants, including
international volunteers, students, yoga school representatives and survivors supported by Odanadi, will join hands to spread the message of solidarity.
Dr B C Murthy said, “Yoga serves not only as a means of well-being but also as a powerful tool for social change. Through this campaign, we are sending a clear message against human trafficking.”
Participants are encouraged to purchase specially designed campaign T-shirts, with
proceeds contributing to Odanadi’s rehabilitation programmes.
