130 RPF personnel, 15 GRP cops of SWR Mysuru division undergo Covid test

Mysuru: RT-PCR Covid-19 test medical camp was organised for officers and staff of Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Railway Institute Mysuru in coordination with Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Railway Hospital on Thursday.

The camp was organised as per the directive of Police Commissioner and IG cum Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force, South Western Railways, with the intention to restrict the super spread of this contagious virus amongst the uniform personnel, in view of the approaching festival season.

About 130 staff of Mysuru division, Railway Protection Force and 15 Staff of Government Railway Police got tested during the camp and results are expected in a day or two. The district health administration responded overwhelmingly, making the medical camp a success.

The camp was inaugurated by Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division Devasahayam, in the august presence of Dr Halappa, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital Mysuru.

Dr Siraj Ahmed Nodal officer for COVID-19 from Mysuru City Corporation, District Health and Family Welfare department was also present.

The health medical camp was supervised by Thomas John Divisional Security Commissioner/RPF/Mysuru assisted by A Sridhar Assistant Security Commissioner RPF, Mysuru, according to Priya Shetty
Divisional Commercial Manager and Senior PRO.
