10,100 beds ready to treat asymptomatic patients at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre

Bengaluru: The Bangalore International Exhibition Centre on Tumkur road has been converted into the country’s largest Covid Care Centre.

With the total of 10,100 beds, the sprawling centre is ready to house asymptomatic patients, including children to treat them.
The centre has adequate number of toilets, kitchen and other facilities to cater to the needs of a large number of patients. Besides, there are separate rest stations for nurses and health workers.

Around 150 doctors will man the facility. A part of the centre has oxygenated beds to accommodate in-house emergencies.
The centre is well ventilated and has separate recreational facilities for both adults & children along with LED screens installed for the purpose.
MLA S R Vishwanath the political secretary to chief minister, inspected the centre on Sunday.
BBMP Commissioner B H Anil Kumar and Joint Commissioner Sarfraz Khan were present.
